How much more evidence do we need that climate change is real, and that we must urgently act? I won't even address the climate "deniers" wing-nut views...there's too much evidence to even listen to them.
But with every season that passes, all the extreme weather events illustrate how quickly things are beginning to change. Even delays of a year or two in making significant changes to our patterns of consumerism and waste will make a long-ranging difference.
Selling products that are upcycled or recycled on this site is an attempt at allowing us to make a more gradual change, where products we "want" (think again about "want" vs. "need") can at least help in removing a fraction of the waste stream that we produce as a global society. When thinking about needing a new cutting board for your kitchen, or a new sweater, at least think of buying something upcycled as a first option, instead of a last resort.
